Dr. Jeannette Hanna studied at the University of Montreal, receiving an M.Sc. in Immunology in 1978, and earned her MBBCH from Ain Shams University in 1973. A California licensed physician since 1983, she is trained in both pediatrics and psychiatry. She completed pediatric residencies in Egypt and New Jersey, followed by a psychiatry residency at UC Irvine in 1994. Dr. Hanna is board-eligible in both specialties.
Her pediatric expertise includes neonatal intensive care and high-risk deliveries. In psychiatry, she focuses on child and adolescent disorders, group therapy, and crisis intervention for abused children. She also specializes in medication monitoring for ADHD and the use of hypnosis in psychotherapy. Currently a consultant for the Child Guidance Center in Santa Ana, she has maintained a Southern California private practice since 1983. Dr. Hanna is fluent in English, French, Greek, and Arabic.
