Mariam Gerges, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists. Mariam earned her bachelor degree in psychology from California State University, Long Beach. She holds a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University.
Mariam’s passion for mental health stems from a genuine desire to create lasting, positive change in the lives of those affected by mental health struggles. After completing her studies, Mariam began her career at PNS, where she is committed to providing high-quality psychiatric care for individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health conditions.
Mariam recognizes the profound influence mental health has on a person’s overall well-being and believes in a holistic approach to care that includes both clinical expertise and empathetic listening. She is particularly aligned with PNS’s mission to raise awareness that mental health struggles, though invisible, are just as important as physical ailments.
In her spare time, Mariam enjoys spending time at the beach with her dogs, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and exploring local coffee shops. Originally from an Egyptian background, Mariam brings a unique cultural perspective to the practice, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and understood.
