Phillip Oka Jr is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works for Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists. Phillip diagnoses and treats adults and the elderly populations. Phillip finds great fulfillment in providing compassionate care to those in need.
Phillip attended California State University, Long Beach where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He then worked as a bedside RN in critical care for 10+ years in 4 different hospitals before attending Maryville University where he obtained his Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Phillip is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Phillip approaches treatment holistically. His goal is to customize treatment, tailored to the unique challenges each person is faced with. Supporting others in their journey to live a healthy and meaningful life is foundational to Phillip’s practice. Operating on the assumption that each person is doing the best they can when facing adversity, Phillip builds strong and supportive patient-clinician relationships.
