Suneena Pokkamthanam, PA-C

Suneena Pokkamthanam PA-C is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant at Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS). Before joining PNS, she worked in psychiatry while she lived in Bakersfield for a few years. Suneena also worked as a PA in cardiology/vascular health and primary care. Suneena has found her calling with the field of Psychiatry and she can’t see herself in any other specialty.

Suneena earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Southern Connecticut State University. She then graduated from Touro College in Long Island, NY with a dual degree-Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelors in Health Sciences.

Suneena genuinely cares for her patients’ well-being and strives to provide thorough care for each of them. She is a good listener, takes her time addressing the needs of her patients, and does her very best to make them comfortable.

When Suneena is not working, she enjoys time with her husband and 4 year old son. She has a strong passion to help all beings, which has led her to becoming an avid supporter of animal shelters- with many adopted animals of her own to keep her busy.
