Additional Information
Sarah Harrod, MMSc, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists, dedicated to guiding individuals toward mental well-being and resilience. Born and raised in Orange County, California, she discovered her passion for helping others early on, graduating from the Orange County School of the Arts before earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (with a Pre-Health Professions minor) at California State University, Fullerton.
During her undergraduate studies, Sarah excelled academically—earning Dean’s List honors and membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars—while also providing hands-on care as an office manager and spine-and-joint therapy aide for patients experiencing chronic pain. Her commitment to service was evident in her extensive volunteer work, including crisis-line support for older adults and disabled individuals, as well as mentoring homeless youth through substance abuse recovery and reintegration into society. These experiences deepened her desire to support people facing diverse health challenges, ultimately inspiring her to pursue advanced practice in mental health.
Motivated to broaden her impact, Sarah went on to earn her Master of Medical Science at Marshall B. Ketchum University. There, she served as a mentor to aspiring Physician Assistants and received the Outstanding Capstone Award for her project, “A Call For Our Future: An Effective and Interactive Approach to Substance Abuse Disorder Targeting Teenagers.”
Sarah is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants. She maintains certifications, including as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider, underscoring her commitment to continuous professional development as a lifelong learner.
