Hugo Gomez Rueda, MD

Dr. Hugo Gomez Rueda, MSc, Ph.D., is a moonlighter psychiatrist at Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS). He specializes in helping individuals cope with various psychiatric conditions, such as depression, anxiety, dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use, and other psychiatric conditions, so they can become the best versions of themselves.

Dr. Gomez Rueda’s journey into psychiatry was fueled by his experience as a rater in research studies. He holds a Medical Degree from The University of Montemorelos and has pursued Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Biotechnology from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. 

He was honored with the esteemed Rosenbaum Award for Research presented at the University of New Mexico in December 2020 for his dedication and contribution to his field, culminating in publication and participation in multiple collaborative projects.

Additionally, Dr. Gomez Rueda is committed to volunteering his services. Between February 2011 and December 2014, he organized Medical Brigades offering free healthcare to individuals with limited financial means in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, and Mexico.

Outside his professional career, Dr. Gomez Rueda loves spending his free time outdoors, such as hiking and camping.
